0-3 Months

Today is June 28th 2012, you are 2 months old + 16 days.

Your first days of life were a little scary, because you had jaundice. It was in the high levels, but once you started to poop regularly it went away. You pooped a whole 3 times on your first day of life! Then went a whole 5 days without! Mommy was worried and felt overwhelmed by it because daddy was going to leave for a work training for about 2 weeks. I wasn't worried at all about taking care of you alone, but I was going through a rough recovery, having headaches and such that it was the worst timing for your dad to leave. He missed you so much while he was gone!

You can see on these how yellow your skin was...

Another reason mommy was worried was because when we went to your 2 day well baby appointment, we found out you had lost all the weight they "allow" for newborns to lose. Doctors suggested I start implementing formula. Mommy was so sad and hurt thinking of you as starving and since you weren't pooping, as much as I didn't want too, I started to supplement. Little by little I breastfed less and my milk supply decreased. All together mommy decided to only give you formula.

This is you eating from a bottle when I had started pumping:

As we waited for daddy to come back home you had your first bath at home:

You didn't cry one bit. In fact, me and your daddy are/were so lucky, you aren't a crier! The only way mommy knows your hungry during the night is because you start to squirm every little bit :) But that is not to say we've never heard you cry!

This video was taken about 4 days ago, you weren't feeling well :(

That crying face takes me back to when I first met you :) You did cry when you entered the world and you were a bit fussy on your first night, you always wanted to be sucking on something like your dad's fingers:

Daddy took that picture as you suckled on his finger and mommy rested :)

Here are a couple of pictures of our stay at the hospital:

Just look at that face!!! <3 :)

This was your first outfit:

And this is you in your car seat, ready to go home:)

Here are some pictures of you and your dad in your first days of life :)

You love laying on daddy :)

Some pictures of you before turning one month:

Just love you like crazy!!! <3

Now here are some of the one month old pictures we took of you (Daddy bought a big expensive camera :).)

Now here are some before you turned 2 months :)(6-3-12)

And here you are at 2 months after receiving your shots, you cried when they poked you, but got over it very quickly, especially when they gave you that sweet medicine.

We also got some prescribed cream for your dry skin on your forehead, look at that shiny head! And those gorgeous eyes :):

We also found out you weighed in at 13.2 lbs.

And here are some pictures as we await your turning of 3 months!:

You were eating and fell asleep :)

You've done many things to amaze us, as simple as breaking out in that beautiful smile! You also love to talk!!! Your always mumbling away. You get hiccups a lot as you did when you were in my womb. You burp and fart like a big person! Lol. Speaking of farting, at this very moment 7:56 pm, your dad is holding you and you started to poop. Your dad freaks out when you poop lol. You also spit up a lot, you dirty our clothes all the time, but it's okay :) Anything you do is adorable to me! We've recently bought you a Bumbo seat and you seem to enjoy it :)

You still haven't completely perfected holding up your head, but you are getting there. You do it best when your on one of our bellies like this:

or on our shoulders. We give you some tummy time too, but you don't seem to enjoy that much.

You do however seem to enjoy watching some T.V:

You are starting to drool now and sometimes have your hands in your mouth, but can't say for sure if your teething just yet.

We took a couple of pictures of you and daddy on Father's day, but this one is one of my favorite (June 17th 2012):

We took some family photos yesterday, on June 27th, but I don't have those yet. I'll post those later for you.

You'll be turning 3 months old while we are on vacation visiting our family! It will be the first time they all get to meet you and we are all very excited for it!

I love you my baby girl. So much!

From the Beginning:

On August 2, 2011 I took two positive home tests! Mommy just had a feeling she was pregnant and there they were, those two lines that made me SO happy :)

The next day, mommy went to the clinic to get tested and the results were "yes your pregnant!" I was already 5 weeks. Your daddy was surprised to hear the news, we both were. We weren't planning on having a baby soon, nor were we preventing the possibility either. So you were no mistake my dear child, but a great surprise :)

As time went on, mommy kept getting bigger and bigger.

Then the day came, November 18, 2011, we had your first ultrasound. Daddy and Mommy found out they were expecting, you-a baby girl. We were extremely excited!

This video here, I was already at least 6 months pregnant, but it was on Nov 27 that your movements became more noticeable to me. They were just the best feeling ever. You'll understand one day when you have your own :) On Dec, 26, 2011 I was laying in bed when you first started to visibly stick out on one side of my belly and did it in the morning too, I loved the feeling. As days kept passing by you moved more and more. And to be honest sometimes, mommy would get scared because she felt you weren't really moving as much or hadn't moved in a while, but always, just before mommy was really going to panic, you kicked me a few times to calm me down :)

Now here are few of the monthly pictures I took, out of order, but....

...this last one here, this was on the morning before leaving to go to the hospital :) April 11, 2012.

Your due date was April 3, 2012 and you were born on April 12, 2012. Mommy had you at 41 weeks + 2days pregnant! We were so anxious to meet you and then the day finally came!!!

This is your birth story:(I just LOVE this picture of you, every time I look at it, every time I recall first meeting you, it ALWAYS brings a big smile to my face)...

Went in for a scheduled induction on April 11th, at 41 weeks + 1 day at 5:30 am, got checked and was still only a finger tip dilated (as I was at my 40 weeks check up) so at 7:30am I was given a pill to ripen my cervix. I was hooked up on the monitors which showed that I was getting contractions, but I just did not feel them, though I did get hot flashes and stomach tightening when I was getting them. They checked me again at 12pm and still no change in dilation! So they started pitocin, a drug to help start and make contractions. Got checked at 3:35 and was only 1cm! With that news they gave a try with the foley which they couldn't successfully put in. Tried again with the foley before 6pm and it finally worked. Sooner than later I started feeling the pain of contractions. At 8:50pm I progressed to 4cm dilated. Anesthesiologist was notified about coming to put in my epidural before they broke my water. It hurt when I got the epidural, I lost feeling and use of my legs which was the worst feeling ever, but the pain of contractions stopped. I started to feel them again though and it seemed my epidural wasn't working anymore. The nurses kept coming to check up on us because your heart beat kept changing and it was worrying them. They had trouble finding it as well, so they finally decided to insert an internal heart beat monitor. I got to 9.5cm and started pushing around 5:30 am. Before the pushing though I started to get the chills and also has to vomit, which the nurse said was a normal reaction when the time was getting close. The anesthesiologist came in again to give me some meds, he did this while I was in the process of pushing already. Once I started to crown, well, I yelled, mommy might have even said a bad word! I could feel everything, but then you were out! (at 7:35 am on April 12, 2012/ 2hrs of pushing!), in my arms…and OH MY GOD :D It was all I could keep saying as I held you in my arms, crying…and you were so beautiful and big! Weighing in at 8.92 lbs! After letting me have my time with you, mesmerized by you, I had to hand you to them so they could clean you up and all that good stuff. As they did all they needed to do I was just staring at your direction, and you were crying, sucking on your hands…Daddy was at your side now, taking pictures of you, he was a good help during all this. Finally you were in my arms again♥ Breast fed like a hungry little champ. Me and and your dad were/are very proud/happy parents.
